Start Of Vacation To So-Cal!

Rain..

...Oh how I love thee. Sitting outside on my patio I am once again reminded of how much I love the rain. Growing up just north of the Emerald City (Seattle) , I loved the sound of rain on our roof. It was especially fun being at Gram and Gramps house and sleeping upstairs. You could hear the rain hitting against the roof just inches from your head. That odd sound as the drops would crash against the metal chimney from the big cast iron wood stove downstairs. In the morning you get up and that combination smell of rain, wet dirt and wood smoke would hit you. It is almost better than coffee for keeping me awake:)
Tonight I am sitting on my back patio in Sacramento California. There is a good lightning and thunderstorm going and the sprinklers just kicked on. The little things remind me that I'm down here in Nor Cal:) however we still have that wonderful smell of wet dirt and the clear air that the rain brings.

I will always be a Seattle boy. Now, where did I put that flannel shirt and my Doc's?

Crazy Month.

      I think I have doubled the about of times I have been to So Cal. All in the last month. It has been a busy but fun month. A couple trips driving Kathy's cousin back and forth in the last month and that does it!  I do love Oceanside/San Deigo...its just the drive thru LA ruins all the fun. Its kinda depressing that the only good time to drive thru LA is when its dark....Grrrr. Anyway, I am on a United flight back home to Sac (via the City.) 

     We had a great time out in Springfield for Scott and Charity's wedding last week. Got out there last tuesday and stayed for a week. Had some great lodging at Matt and Steph Polites humble abode. Thanks guys! Stayed up late almost every night chillin' with friends or just hanging out. It was great seeing all of our friends and former co-workers. 

     Exciting stuff is around the corner for us very soon. We have had our final home inspection and our Case worker is assigned to us from Koinenia. now that we are back from our trip we will be setting up a time for our lil interview and eagerly await that call. The one that says "we have some lil ones that need a home and some loving parents." I cant wait for that call. Keep us in your prayers for that one.

     Well the plane is decending so I better save this and stow the laptop. Cant wait to see the Wifey at the airport.

Fun few weeks..

Well i haven't posted in a while. Incase you didn't know, i was laid off at Starbucks in February. So that job hunt thing has been taking up most of my time. Have had a few first interviews but no luck yet past that. On Thursday I am going to take the train down to Oceanside. Tatina is going to come visit for a few weeks so i am going down to drive up with her. Brian is going to be off doing Marine things. So it will be a long train ride down and a car full coming back. Tatina, Natalia, Eli and me. (Eli is the golden retriever) I am sure i will post many times on the way down via my Blackberry. Spring Time?

Well its that time of year in Sacramento, The grass is green, the sun is out and birds are diving by the office window. Springtime is a great....wait, Its January 31st. OH, that's right. The grass is always green here. The sun is primarily always out and birds don't leave for the winter...they come here for it. I remember why I like living here so much now.
I havent updated my blog in a little while, so i thought I would post. The actul Saturday and Sunday off this week is throwing me off a little bit. It is a rare occurance in my work schedule to have a actul weekend off let alone two days in a row.
So far today I have gone to Home Depo, moved a cable modem to another room of our house and am planning on hanging some shelves and cleaning out the wifes car. This is before we head over to a friends house for a lil game night.
OK, im off to do the car cleaning thing. Lets see how often in can update this thing. Every attempt to do this on a regular basis has been a epic fail...

Hello blog world

Well, just a quick note here. I realize that I haven't blogged in a while so I thought I would update this for anyone who reads it...2 people or so. Well Kathy and I just have a few things left before our final home inspection for our adoption. A vet visit, my physical, and a few things for the house is all that is left. I am fairly low key kinda person but I am very excited!
Work is stressful, but that is expected being that it is retail and holiday season! Super blessed that I get to take vacation the 26th thru the 4th. We will be heading out east for this year to habg with Kathy's family. We spent last in WA with my family.
Well that is about it!

We Are Moving!!!

We finaly decided to rent, after the economy took away our option to buy! Ha! Banks stopped accepting down payment assistance loans. Oh well, God knows. We are moving to a 4 bed duplex just north of Sacramento in the town of Antelope. A couple weeks to pack, and off we go. Soon there after webhave our initial home inspection for California foster care adoption. So excited! Pics of the place soon to come!

Dentist...

Just got done with my root canal. And I still can't stand the dentist. Nothing against them personaly, just happen to hate large needles and drills on my mouth.

Well, just sitting at home. Bout to go to bed. I have a dentist apointment in the morning. Yuck.two fillings needed and removal of the wisdom teeth. Not all at one time of course.

Almost 2 months!!!

Wow blog world....

Its been a while since I have participated in convo with you!

Well, a lot is happening these next couple months. K and I are moving in the next 4 weeks at the latest. As soon as we do we can have our home study done for our adoption. After that we will see how things roll. Hopefully fast!

I have taken over strike team stuff for the church. Coordinating people and trucks to get everything set up on time. We will see how that goes. Just started this week.

We will find out in the next couple weeks if I get to stay at Cottage & Fulton 'bucks when my mgr comes back from dual managing. I don't really have a preference on where I go, if I go...just as long as I know soon. That is all I ask.

Well, I am sitting here at Town & Country 'bucks waiting for my ride...car is getting a break job. And than off to do sound for a church youth event tonight. Good times!
